Electrical Testing — FAQs

How often do I need an EICR?

For most commercial premises, an EICR is recommended every 5 years (or at change of occupancy). Higher-risk environments such as industrial sites may require 3-yearly inspections. We will advise the right interval for your building.

Is PAT testing a legal requirement?

While PAT testing itself is not mandated by a specific law, the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require all electrical equipment to be maintained safely — and PAT testing is the recognised way to demonstrate this.

Will testing disrupt our business?

We plan testing around your operations, including out-of-hours and weekend working, to keep disruption to an absolute minimum.
